Due to the war in Gaza, he brought 70 dog-persons to new homes in the United States. “These dogs are the most grateful dogs ever.” Maad Abu-Ghazalah ran Daily Hugz, an animal rescue in the West Bank. It took four months of planning with SPCA International to get the dogs to the United States.

Next, an Israeli group rescued animal companions who were lost during an attack. “Dr. Shira Yashpe from the “Dogs and Heroes” organization realized the problem early on and is trying to rectify it. “This dog owner came all the way from Eilat where he and his family have been staying since the war broke out. After his dog was found in one of the villages, he tells the volunteers that his second dog is still inside. Not a minute goes by and another group of volunteers come back with the missing dog.” Today, Dr. Shira Yashphe is still rescuing animal-people in the war-torn Gaza region under a new rescue organization called, “Paw-Aid.”

“Since the start of the war, almost a year ago, we were going to South Lebanon to feed animals and take in injured ones. We pulled out over 190 cases.” Thank you, Maggie Sharawi and members of Animals Lebanon.

Another amazing organization working in very challenging situations is Sulala Animal Rescue, founded by Saeed Al Err. More than 30 dogs, 20 of which the organization says are disabled, as well as 120 cats and four donkeys are currently in Al Err’s care, he told ABC News.

The team at FOUR PAWS has a big challenge: to evacuate over 54 animals from Rafah Zoo. “It’s a huge mission to prepare all the crates just in time. I think the animals also have the power inside them, they fight.”
