Over the years, we’ve all admired much of Hollywood’s music. Certainly, I have, from “Gone with the Wind” to “Rocky.” And Mr. Bill Conti composed many of these magical movie moments. For example, “For Your Eyes Only,” the theme from “Rocky,” and countless more. He’s been the music director of the Academy Awards for the last 13 years. In fact, he’s won the Academy Award and was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Continuing tonight’s theme, “One World of Peace Through Music,” I’m very pleased to introduce a true gentleman of the music world, Mr. Bill Conti.

Thank you! That first piece was something that the ABC network used for the ‘84 and the ‘88 Olympics, followed by the theme from “Falcon Crest,” then “Lifestyles of the Poor and Hopeless,” then the theme from “Dynasty,” and “Cagney and Lacey,” of course.
