In general, animals are more gifted than humans in the areas of intuition and sensitivity. We are non-judgmental, loyal, loving and playful. Animals are aware of their human companion’s emotions and feelings and are responsive to their moods. These positive qualities of animals in turn help children develop self-esteem and construct trusting relationships with others. Senior citizens can benefit tremendously from animal companionship - physically, psychologically and socially. On today’s program, we explore how animal companionship improves the lives of children and the elderly.
