I've got an eye health tip for you today. A study from Tufts University reported that consuming pistachios daily can improve eye health since it increases macular pigment optical density (MPOD). MPOD helps protect against eye damage caused by blue light and aging. The study found that participants who ate pistachios daily saw a significant increase in MPOD after only six weeks, with the effect continuing throughout the 12-week study. This benefit from pistachios is attributed to lutein, a plant pigment vital in eye health and potentially helpful in preventing age-related macular degeneration (AMD). Lutein is found in many vegetables such as spinach, corn and bell peppers, as well as flowers such as nasturtiums and marigolds, but pistachios are the only nut that provides a measurable amount of it. What are you waiting for? Enjoy some pistachios to reduce your risk of developing AMD.

This seems like a perfect moment to insert that joke of the day disc into our chuckle player. This one's called “It’s the Law!”

A law professor was lecturing on courtroom procedure.

“When you are fighting a case and have the facts on your side, hammer away on the facts. Or, if you have the law on your side, hammer away with the law.”

“Ma’am, what do we do if we have neither the facts nor the law on our side?”

“Well... in that case, hammer away on the table.”

?!

And now we have a heartline from Yu-Ting in China
